A cafe-style variant of the Z1000 with a cockpit fairing, four-into-one exhaust and angular styling. Compared with the base bike it has larger carburettors, a revised frame and suspension and an 18-inch front wheel, and it is the sportier Z1-R of the late 1970s. Dimensions and weight are slightly different from the standard model.
